New Jersey DYFS Review Hearing Attorneys
After the dispositional hearing, the court will schedule the case for a review hearing (or several review hearings) to check on how you and your child are doing. At review hearings, the court will find out whether you are following current court orders and, where necessary, make new orders in your case. DYFS and the law guardian will continue to report to the judge about your progress and your child. DYFS will submit written reports, called court reports about your case for the court to consider. Since the information contained in the reports may likely be false or objectionable, your NJ DYFS lawyer should review the court reports before the review hearing. At the hearing, your lawyer can correct information in a report, object to other information and add additional information.
